From 1992 to 1995 Dr. Evan Paleologos was a Senior Staff
Consultant with Intera Inc., Office of Yucca Mountain Project, Nevada.
The company is responsible for the design of the high energy nuclear
waste depository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada, U.S.A.. His research
interests include saturated and unsaturated zone physics, stochastic
subsurface hydrology, contaminant transport, numerical methods and
modeling in hydrology, geostatistical analyses, risk analysis, Bayesian
and decision theory, management of water resources, site
characterization, etc. He has served as member of the Editorial Boards
of the international journals Stochastic Hydrology & Hydraulics and
Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment and as a reviewer
for many other journals. He has co-authored the book Lerche, I. and E.
K. Paleologos, "Environmental Risk Analysis," McGraw-Hill (2001) and
has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as book
chapters .
