Professor
J. Sahalos is a professional engineer and industry consultant. His
research interests are in the fields of applied electromagnetism,
antennas, high frequency methods, telecommunications, microwaves, and
biomedical engineering. His is author/co-author of six books and has
published over 250 articles in scientific journals and conference
proceedings. He is directing the Graduate Program in Electronic Physics
(Radioelectricity). He has supervised 16 doctoral dissertations and
over 100 diploma theses. He is a participant in a large number of
research programs.
Since 1985 he is a member of the Editorial Board of IEEE
Transaction on Microwave Theory and Techniques. Since 1982 he is a
member of URSI committees and since 1999 he is President of the Greek
Section of URSI. He is a reviewer of research proposal and scientific
articles in international journals (IEEE Trans. on MTT, IEEE Trans on
Antennas and Propagation). Finally since June 2002 he is a member of
the Executive Board of the Telecommunications Organization of Greece
(ΟΤΕ).
